About SHIGE
Shigeyuki Betsuyaku completed his Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Jane Parker at the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research in 2005. After two years of Postdoctoral training there, he joined Dr. Shinichiro Sawa’s group at the University of Tokyo as a postdoctoral researcher working on CLAVATA signaling. In 2010, he initiated his own project on the spatio-temporal analysis of plant immune responses in Dr. Hiroo Fukuda’s group at the University of Tokyo. He became Associate Professor within Dr. Nobuhiko Nomura’s group at University of Tsukuba in 2016. In 2020, he was appointed as Associate Professor at Ryukoku University, where he aims to further uncover the cellular basis of plant-microbe interactions.
